Position Description:

To plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of the Government Programs Network Strategy department to ensure that goals and objectives are met.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Directs and evaluates overall network composition that will differentiate the Delta Dental government programs networks from its competition.

  • Collaborates with current and potential government programs customers to discuss network strategies and assist in recruiting new networks.

  • Develops value-based payment models and dental home models, when appropriate, to drive network performance.

  • Drives provider engagement and training to ensure attainment of network expansion and adequacy is met in all markets.

  • Collaborates with the team to develop data driven network solutions to support the success of programs and their members.

  • Interviews, hires, evaluates and develops staff in order to ensure accountability for achievement of department goals and objectives.

  • Develops and implements short- and long-term strategy, goals and objectives of government programs.

  • Develops, recommends and monitors the annual departmental budget.

  • Develops, recommends and enforces policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of operation.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, seven years of experience in provider network development, and five years of leadership experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

Position requires advanced knowledge of network terminology and contracting, as well as insurance products, effective verbal and written communication skills, advanced knowledge of management practices; ability to analyze and resolve complex problems and use independent judgment.
