The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting Systems will report to the Associate Manager, Financial Reporting Systems within the Center of Excellence.  You will assist with facilitating system changes, testing, and overall business support around Stryker’s Hyperion suite of applications and other key global Financial Systems.  These applications include Hyperion Financial Management, FDMEE, and Hyperion Planning, used by the global organization for both close consolidation and forecasting and other supporting Financial systems. You will also help to develop training strategies and content, as well as the facilitation of training for these applications.  In addition to providing direct support for the Financial Reporting Systems team, you will work closely with team members as well as the broader Stryker finance community including Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax and Financial Planning & Analysis to ensure the applications are meeting the evolving needs of the business.

The candidate will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance to our Flower Mound office. You will need to be in the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.

What you will do

  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the Hyperion suite of applications (HFM, Hyperion Planning and FDMEE) and other key Financial Systems. This includes working with customers to determine necessary changes, partnering with the IS department to facilitate changes, and testing/validation of changes in Dev/QA/PROD environments. As well as, responsible for aiding in communication/education of changes to end users.

  • Responsible for monitoring user queries submitted through the Internal Reporting Mailbox, providing end user support, and troubleshooting data validation issues. Must be able to independently research/troubleshoot and resolve financial and IT related issues.

  • Responsible for performing system preparation activities including month-end close preparation, opening system for projection and budget, and loading FX rates into the appropriate scenarios.

  • Perform data reconciliation activities related to the transfer of actual and projected data between the applications.

  • Take on ad hoc requests and project work as needed including developing best practices across the broader FPRC group, supporting system upgrades and implementations, and preparing ad hoc analysis as requested by management.

  • Assist in developing and facilitating Hyperion Trainings. 

What you need

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or MIS

  • 2+ years experience

Preferred

  • Experience working in a global consolidation system preferably in the medical device or life sciences industry

  • Experience working with HFM

Travel Percentage: 10%
