Job Summary
The CME Program Specialist is responsible for the logistical fulfillment and compliance monitoring of Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities. Develops, coordinates, and advises on assigned programs and projects to ensure compliance. Performs analysis of relevant data to ensure learner competence and improved outcomes. Reviews documents for compliance with CMA/ACCME criteria. Supports the overall CME Program and assesses readiness to meet accreditation with commendation criteria and/or Joint Accreditation-Interprofessional Continuing Education designation.Pay Range
Minimum $28.90 Midpoint $38.27 Maximum $47.66Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience:
• Required: Minimum four (4) years of healthcare compliance or continuing medical education administration experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with hospital patient outcomes data/dashboards analysis and continuing medical education commendation criteria
Education:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Preferred: Master’s degree

Specialized Skills:
• Required: Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Must have experience discussing clinical cases with physicians and knowledge of ACCME and CMA accreditation standards. Must be able to follow existing documentation systems to demonstrate compliance with accreditation criteria and note processes used, research conducted, and evidence found when mitigating financial disclosures, relevant financial relationships, and/or conflicts of interest with an ineligible organization. Able to use Zoom and online registration platforms.
• Preferred: Familiarity with hospital data/dashboards analysis and commendation criteria.
Training
• Required: Completed one (1) CME accreditation cycle.
• Preferred: Certification in continuing medical education professional (CCMEP) or project management professional (PMP)
