Athlete Experience (AX) is a cross functional, OMNI initiative that is at the heart of DICK’s transformation to become the best Sports Company in the World. A critical part of enabling this transformation is the ability to create consistent athlete experiences across touchpoints within the following retail lifecycle:
We are looking for an Experience Lead who can activate this work through cross-team engagement, management and delivery of journeys and insights. To start, you will work across teams to gather current data, resolve the simple integrations and highlight the larger areas of challenge. Key aspects of this work will focus on are described below.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Experience Strategy:
AX focuses on delivering a series of end-to-end omni experiences purposefully designed for Athletes to strengthen their relationship with DICKS now and in the future. As you support the evolution of the AX strategy, you will define and develop a deep expertise of the holistic Athlete journey through the lens of:
Connectivity: how we anchor to and drive clarity for the bigger idea of AX
Loyalty: how we think about the ways in which Loyalty is linked across the experience
Standardization: how we drive alignment and consistency on artifacts
Operating Model: how we create a durable process enabling prioritization and delivery across business and technology
Collaboration:
AX will embrace a new way of working within DICK’S Sporting Goods, focused on partnership and co-creation across business and technology. You will play a critical role in supporting collaboration and communication by:
Working closely with Business Insight & Strategy teams and Technology Design & Product teams to stitch journeys across as we think about the athlete lifecycle in connection to experience themes and concepts.
Partner with Technology Product Design regarding pre-established journey management frameworks and Homefield Design System to help kickstart the work.
Partner and communicate progress to the core AX team.
Research:
AX is heavily dependent on Athlete insights driven by data and field research to enable decision making and alignment across our integrated roadmaps. Research activities may include:
Conducting interviews with key members of the business to understand their perspective and linkage across the macro-level athlete journey.
Reviewing and interpreting available insights research to guide understanding of the macro-level athlete journey.
If there are remaining gaps identified, then creation and execution of a primary research plan may be needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, or related
10-15 years experience
Design Portfolio required

Targeted Pay Range: $114,300 - $190,500. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
