Your Job:
Support the financial reporting and budgeting process as a Financial Configurator in the Workday system.
Your Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA Preferred
• Ability to perform a variety of duties ranging from direct involvement to coordination of accounting and reporting procedures within the department and with other departments
• Computer literacy essential(advanced Excel, Access, word processing or similar capabilities).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Flexible with excellent interpersonal skills
• Hospital accounting experience preferred
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must demonstrate ability to organize time efficiently
• Ten key by touch
• Work Experience: 5 years or more required
Your Job Responsibilities:
-Schedule/Run monthly close process reports in Workday and control the subsystems (Procurement, Cash, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Expense, Journals) to ensure a smooth close process.
-Reconcile intercompany items during month end close using a custom designed Suspense process.
-Serve as a System Administrator in the Strata System handing new users, table maintenance and troubleshooting system errors.
-Process change requests for FDM in Workday including but not limited to Cost Center, Account, Provider additions.
-Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as required.
-Compile and produce quarterly labor productivity reports.
-Maintain Strata software, including coordination and reconciliation of data loads and reconciliation of actual/projected and budget targets.
-Assist with year-end audit, including but not limited to preparing assigned audit schedules, answering questions/requests, preparation of audit Journal Entry log and participating in inventory and petty cash counts as assigned.
-Maintain various reports written with MHS's accounting software to provide accurate financial reports and write new reports as needed.
-Prepare assigned standard and general journal entries.
-Prepare monthly accounts payable reports for all divisions which includes reconciliation of all supporting schedules.
-Work on other duties as assigned.
