About the role

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our unionized workforce in Monterrey. Your work will directly impact employee satisfaction and operational efficiency, contributing to a positive workplace experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing payroll for unionized personnel
• Capturing and calculating employee sick leave and disability (incapacidades)
• Receiving and processing weekly payroll incidents
• Reconciling and validating overtime
• Processing weekly payroll runs
• Handling employee terminations
• Performing general ledger (GL) reconciliations
• Managing saving fund reconciliations

Requirements

As a minimum, you must have:

• Experience in payroll processing, preferably with unionized employees
• Knowledge of Mexican labor laws and payroll regulations
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Experience with UTEC-MX or similar payroll platforms
• Prior experience in a multinational company
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
