Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Linux Operations
Summary
A Linux Engineer ensures systems are stable, scalable, and highly available, bridging the gap between Business Application development and IT operations. This role combines automation, observability, incident response, and performance engineering to maintain continuous service reliability while accelerating delivery velocity. Linux Engineer designs and maintains production systems that meet defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets. Using software engineering principles, an Linux prevents downtime, automates operations, and improves platform performance through observability, fault tolerance, and system resilience.

Roles and Responsibility
1. Provide system administration for Linux based systems in the environment
2. User & Access management
3. Package management using YUM and RPM
4. Software installation and security hardening
5. File Sytem manaement and LVM administration
6. Working knowledge in the ITIL process such as Incident Management and Service catalog manament
7.Ready to work in rotational shifts and 24x7

Must have skills
1. Knowledge in technical aspects of Linux System Administration and best practices.
2. Experience on Linux End to end Patching tasks.
3. Strong knowledge on Linux Fundamentals.
4. Hands-on experience on providing sudo access in different scenarios
5. Basic troubleshooting skills on OS LVM and related system issues
6. Should have worked on assessing and optimizing System Performance and Tuning
7. Familiarity with systems security implementation
8. Basic Knowledge of Network technologies, SAN & NAS
9. Strong written and verbal communications along with technical documentation skills
10. Abilty / skills on monitoring sytems.
