Location: UK (talk to us about flexible working)

The day to day –

  • Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with software developers to optimise CI/CD pipelines and enhance the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
  • Automate processes for code deployment, system scaling, and health monitoring.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of applications, with robust disaster recovery and resilience planning.
  • Utilise AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambda for application management.
  • Employ Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration to improve resource utilisation and deployment.
  • Create documentation, tutorials, and provide technical guidance to development teams.
  • Contribute to a mission-driven team focused on creating a greener, fairer future.
  • Join a small, agile team responsible for the BG residential website platform.

About You –

  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS services, to design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure.
  • Expertise in containerisation and orchestration using Kubernetes, ensuring efficient deployment and operation of applications.
  • Strong foundation in DevOps practices, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) to streamline development workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, from application software to backend infrastructure and network issues.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, integrating security into the development process to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges in a technology-driven environment.
  • Visualisation skills to understand and improve the platform's infrastructure, applications, and strategic aspects.
  • A customer-centric approach, working collaboratively with engineering groups, software developers, SREs, and product managers.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
