Position Summary
This role is responsible for the support of comprehensive identity governance & access management solutions. It requires hand-on engineering and operational responsibilities supporting centralized user access management for UNIX server and related application platforms. The candidate should be a detailed orientated performer who wants to be part of a growing global IAM program.
The Sr. Security Engineer is a lead engineer within Identity Access Management (IAM) space for CVS Health. This position will include leading multiple projects simultaneously and hands-on engineering of IAM solutions.
As a Sr. Engineer on our team, you will collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to design and provide privilege and access security solutions.
You will work with business, information, and technology teams to recommend technology solutions needed to enable leading-edge IAM security capabilities and develop comprehensive patterns that outline how those capabilities get realized in response to evolving business needs.
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide IAM privilege and access management security guidance and solutions implementation for new enterprise application systems adoptions.
Responsible for the on-going adoption, maintenance, for Identity Governance and Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) controls.
Responsible for troubleshooting, root cause identification, and resolution of technical IAM related issues
Participation in the development of process workflow optimization, system configuration, change documentation, and support related to user account access.
Work with application teams to deploy UNIX account centralized access management and password vaulting functionality.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure teams are adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Support migration efforts for new capability adoption
Required Qualifications
5+ years of IT industry experience as a System Administrator, Dev Ops and Production Support of Various applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows environment.
5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience delivering UNIX infrastructure configuration and support for business application adoption.
3+ years’ experience collaborating with application teams for related install specifications to ensure proper configurations for development, testing and production rollout.
2+ years’ experience utilizing automation tools and scripts for server build and deploy, reducing manual intervention and errors.
2+ years’ experience with server configurations and management working in cloud environments Azure, AWS, and GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Client-focused attitude and ability to be a customer advocate.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years’ experience with virtual server configurations and management ensuring optimal performance and security.
2+ years’ experience with end-to-end IAM implementations for a large enterprise with technologies including LDAP directory, virtual directory, graph databases, identity lifecycle management systems, access reviews/certification, and/or credential management systems (SSO/MFA)
2+ years of experience working with or within Identity Access Management (IAM).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to ideate solutions that are sufficient and feasible to both the business leads and the technical teams.
Experience implementation and enforcing security best practices for UNIX server builds, account management, and configurations and that all builds comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Strong experience in the development of shell scripts (sh, ksh, bash, perl) and other automation scripting languages to streamline application provisioning and configuration tasks.
Configuration management experience working with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate repetitive tasks and ensure consistency across servers.
Demonstrate competency with setup and development of Continuous Integration/Continuous Integration automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines to automate server configuration builds and application deployments.
Experienced utilizing automation tools and scripts in a multi-server environment for mass deployment of remediation requests reducing manual intervention and errors.
Experience with virtual server configurations and management ensuring optimal performance and security.
Demonstrates ability creating/maintaining documentation for application server builds and security configurations, onboarding processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Experience collaborating with application teams for related install specifications to ensure proper configurations for development, testing and production rollout.
Experienced providing troubleshooting support for server infrastructure and technical issues related to application environments and IAM access controls.
Experienced performing root cause analysis for critical issues to prevent recurrence and improve system/application reliability.
Experienced creating clear and concise documentation of issues, resolutions, and preventive measures for future reference.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into meaningful security design.
Strong knowledge of IAM platform security governance concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic delivery environment with versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously.
UNIX server configuration experience across on-premises datacenters, cloud, network, and IT security tools.
An expert level of understanding of Enterprise or Customer Identity & Access Management, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factory Authentications (MFA), and Authentication, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance & Administration concepts in depth understanding of identity protocols.
Experience working with Identity management platforms, primarily AD, UNIX, and AD-UNIX bridging.
Experience with scripting languages including Python, UNIX Shell, Windows PowerShell, or YML.
Experience with automation tooling including Jenkins, Ansible, or Chef. Experience with container-based deployments using Docker.
Education-
Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
