Transaction Management (TM) serves as a critical component of our First Line of Defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk. TM works through the challenges of the Wholesale Credit Risk Lending processes with the aim of transforming the credit risk process flows, including but not limited to operational oversight, legal documentation, and collateral. The scope of responsibilities and scale of this team will evolve over time to continue to meet internal needs. TM will coordinate with credit management groups across corporate businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.
TM covers Documentation controls, Collateral controls, and Credit Documentation Review. The Transaction Manager is an intermediate level position responsible for managing collateral through its lifecycle, engaging in documentation drafting and verification prior to disbursement, and ensuring the quality of data/controls/processes meet all internal requirements. Other objectives of this role are to coordinate and maintain data quality in credit systems, escalate deficiencies, and recommend solutions in alignment with overall credit policies.
