Job Summary:

THE TEAM

This position will be part of Ticketmaster’s Data Center Engineering team. The team is responsible for building, maintaining and keeping the company’s physical infrastructure footprint running smoothly to keep fans happy and support our internal customers.

THE JOB

Ticketmaster is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer responsible for overseeing data center-based projects and operations tasks crucial to supporting our critical Data Center devices and infrastructure. 

You will be handling requests from and supporting internal service teams by responding to requests for hardware installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and recycling efforts.  This role is also responsible for proactively monitoring critical hardware systems and focusing on higher level initiatives that include firmware management, hardware monitoring and alerting and metrics collection. 

This is an exciting time to come on board with Ticketmaster, as we will be focusing on efforts towards hardware modernization and operability, expanding capacity and expanding our internal services for internal customers

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Provide expertise on hardware deployments and working with internal service team to build rack elevations and deploy hardware
  • Work with our Data Center Asset Management system to keep automated systems up to date with critical asset information
  • Work with service teams and Network teams to build port configurations
  • Lead projects to rack and install new hardware and decommission old hardware
  • Respond to requests for support of hardware in the datacenter as well as manage hardware lifecycle
  • Maintain key relationships with internal Engineering customers
  • Manage and maintain the hardware monitoring platform to keep internal customers hardware operating smoothly
  • Deploying systems firmware updates to keep the hardware platforms up to date and compliance with standards
  • Monitor the data center environment to keep things running within specifications
  • Work with the data center facility to receive and ship hardware
  • Keep the data center organized and efficient
  • Able to troubleshoot P0 incidents in a timely manner, supporting a 24/7 mission critical environment
  • Understanding of Data Center Power infrastructure for capacity planning, monitoring and deployment

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent understanding of modern server and networking hardware, Dell, HP, Cisco and Arista offerings for example
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Great documentation and peer review skills
  • Scripting ability a plus (Python, Go)
  • Knowledge and experience with DCIM (Data Center Inventory Management) solutions
  • Experience with Linux preferable
  • Ability to use SSH and other remote access solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Server+ certification or equivalent experience
  • Network+ certification or equivalent experience
  • 7+ supporting Enterprise Data Centers
  • Strong background with both iDrac and iLo
