Job Overview

The Strategic Planning & Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting cross-functional collaboration, driving standardization, and optimizing the processes of the Strategic Sales and Analytics function. The Strategic Planning & Operations Associate focuses on commercializing new products for the Canadian market, ensuring SKU set-up & tracking is aligned with retailer sell-in timeframes and all new-product-launch milestones are met. 

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects to market, monitor performance, and ensure the successful execution of product launches. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who thrives on problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. This position is ideal for a driven individual looking to grow their expertise in strategic planning, analytics, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work alongside cross-functional teams to facilitate collaboration, mitigate risks, and align schedules to support successful product launches and market strategies
    • Communicate daily with Global product development, brand marketing & project management teams on support required to launch new product in Canada
  • Retail Readiness:
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of the retail sell-in calendar, ensuring all teams are prepared for product launches
  • Risk Management:
    • Help identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and track progress to ensure timely resolution of issues
    • Recognize resource and knowledge gaps, escalate risks as needed, and propose solutions to address them
  • Process Optimization:
    • Act as a key support for the Strategic Sales and Analytics team by assisting in the standardization of processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency
    • Serve as the process champion, promoting best practices across the team and helping to streamline operations

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in program management, sales analytics, commercialization, or new product launches.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

  • Data-Driven: Proficiency in leveraging data and KPIs to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Problem-Solver: Ability to spot risks and gaps and proactively work to address them, driving resolutions to complex challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, ensuring all aspects of product launches and processes are executed flawlessly.
  • Proactive and Accountable: A bias towards action, with the ability to work independently while taking accountability for results.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
