Your Role with Us

As a Medical Claims Assessor, you’ll play a vital role in delivering peace of mind to our customers when they need it most. You’ll manage claims with speed, accuracy, and empathy - ensuring timely assessments, correct payments, and proactive risk management. Your Impact

  • Drive fair outcomes by assessing and investigating claims with precision, applying sound judgment to ensure timely and accurate decisions.

  • Create clarity and confidence for customers through empathetic communication, making complex decisions easy to understand.

  • Strengthen partnerships by building trusted relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to enable seamless claims processing.

  • Safeguard integrity by proactively managing risk, detecting potential fraud, and presenting clear recommendations to the Claims Committee.

  • Champion progress by contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, sharing insights, and supporting projects that enhance the customer experience.

Your Capabilities

  • You have strong attention to detail and sound judgment, enabling you to make accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • You bring excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, ensuring clarity and empathy in every interaction.

  • You have experience in administration, customer service, or claims processing - ideally within health, insurance, or financial services.

  • You may also have a relevant qualification such as NCEA Level 2 or 3, or equivalent, which supports your technical understanding.

  • It’s great if you enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance processes and outcomes.
