2. Core Communications Pillars
Earned Media:
Build and maintain relationships with national and regional media outlets and influencers.
Secure proactive coverage aligned with food and agriculture trends.
Manage reactive inquiries and coordinate with digital teams for social media responses.
Thought Leadership:
Position Driscoll’s as a leader in sustainable agriculture and grower partnerships.
Develop executive visibility programs, including speaking engagements and authored content.
Messaging:
Create and maintain message maps for corporate, grower, and sustainability topics.
Ensure consistency across external channels and alignment with internal communications.
Crisis Communication:
Lead crisis preparedness and response, including media training and scenario planning.
Maintain playbooks and coordinate rapid response across functions during reputational events.
3. Narrative Storytelling & Reputation Management
Shape perception and earn trust across stakeholders through disciplined storytelling.
Advance Driscoll’s reputation by amplifying global priorities with local relevance.
4. LinkedIn LATAM Content Leadership
Own and manage Driscoll’s LinkedIn Latin America presence, creating content that reflects global priorities and resonates locally.
Develop campaigns that highlight thought leadership, sustainability, and grower stories to strengthen engagement and trust.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Public Affairs, Social & Environmental Impact, Marketing, HR, and Internal Communications to amplify strategies externally and ensure unified messaging across all audiences.
Serve as a connector between global corporate communications and local execution in Mexico.
6. Grower Engagement
Develop communication tools and programs that support growers in understanding and communicating labor, social, and environmental standards.
Provide guidance and resources for growers to manage media interactions effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in corporate communications, with expertise in media relations and crisis management.
Strong understanding of Mexico’s media landscape and socio-political environment.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Experience managing social media content strategy for LinkedIn or similar platforms.
