Red Hat’s User Experience Engineering team is looking for an Associate Manager with people management experience, or individual contributor leadership experience with an interest in people management, to join our team in Raleigh, NC. As part of a global team, you'll work closely with your peers to manage teams of project and program managers who are working on high priority Red Hat customer digital experiences. You’ll be developing and managing associates in a technological, fast-paced environment.
Manage a team of associates working on projects and programs critical to Red Hat customer digital experiences.
Promote and guide continuous professional and personal development of team members
Monitors the program and/or project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with stakeholders or other management teams, as needed.
Assigns and monitors work of project/program management associates, providing support and direction.
Define and assign project and program roles based on departmental initiatives and prioritization.
Operate in an inclusive environment to solve problems effectively and efficiently
Supports a team of program and project managers in driving and prioritizing strategic goals, OKRs, and requirements
Prior management experience or IC leadership experience with an interest in people management
Ability to identify potential, develop people, and motivate and build a team
Experience building and working in matrixed teams across several organizations and time zones
Ability to learn and apply new skills and processes quickly
Ability to foster productive collaboration between technical management teams and stakeholders
Solid leadership and coaching skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project and program management experience
Familiarity with agile practices and ceremonies
Desire to work in an open organization
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and/or Service Now a plus
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
