Learn specialized skills and gain access to a variety of industries served by Western Alliance, including: Aerospace, Agriculture, Digital Assets, Entertainment, Gaming, Healthcare, Hotels & Resorts, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Technology, Treasury Management, Venture Capital and Private Equity.

A formal 18 month development program where you'll solve problems, be creative and make an impact. With access to resources necessary to become a successful business professional, you will develop your leadership capabilities working alongside a diverse group from Universities across the country.

The formal program begins depending on graduation date:
January 2025 or June 2025 starts
Note: On-going employment after graduation from this program

Throughout the program, you will participate in challenging projects, mentor with experienced professionals, job shadowing, and attend formal leadership development workshops designed to set you up for professional success. The Credit Analyst will support a centralized portfolio management team overseeing $1 billion in commercial loan commitments (real estate, term, revolving lines, etc.). Primary responsibilities include alert monitoring and resolution (past due payments, maturing loans, credit score deterioration etc.), submitting and reviewing financial spreads and covenant tests, addressing loan defaults, and preparing loan modifications, among numerous other tasks. Eventually, the Credit Analyst will be introduced to underwriting renewing and originating loans, with the objective of developing them into an Underwriter or Portfolio Manager on the team, or elsewhere in the bank.

What we are looking for:

 We're looking for graduating students who are not only top-performers, but who also have leadership experience, an entrepreneurial mindset and are passionate problem solvers.  You may be a fit for this program if you meet certain eligibility requirements, including:

• College Degree from a 4 year College or University or equivalent
• Completion of an Accounting course
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is required
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently
• An interest in working in Commercial Business Banking

Compensation: Hourly range for new hires is generally $33.40 for San Diego, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
