What You’ll Do 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations while ensuring accuracy, safety, efficiency, and compliance across all functions within the distribution center. This role supports and executes operational workflows, manages inventory, supervises and develops warehouse staff, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to meet company and customer expectations. 

Operational Management 

  • Assist in managing, controlling, and monitoring warehouse processes and workflows. 

  • Direct and oversee order processing, including picking, packing, and shipping activities. 

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers and internal logistics teams. 

  • Ensure all receiving, shipping, and inventory control activities are executed accurately through order verification and report audits. 

  • Communicate and coordinate inventory control activities with Purchasing, Quality, and Management teams. 

  • Interact with customers as needed to support order fulfillment and issue resolution. 

 

Inventory & Supply Management 

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy, availability, and proper stock rotation. 

  • Manage warehouse supplies and resources efficiently. 

  • Support physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliation efforts. 

 

Leadership & Team Development 

  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel engaged in receiving, stocking, processing, shipping, inventory control, safety, and loss prevention. 

  • Foster a positive team-oriented work environment. 

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide clear, constructive feedback. 

  • Maintain strong working relationships and open communication across all departments. 

Safety, Compliance & Security 

  • Ensure departmental compliance with all safety policies and procedures. 

  • Promote and enforce good housekeeping and safe working conditions throughout the facility. 

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and anti-trust regulations. 

  • Protect company operations by safeguarding confidential business strategies, trade secrets, and financial information. 

  • Report and address concerns related to compliance, liabilities, or unethical activity. 

 

Administrative & Continuous Improvement 

  • Review daily timecards (including temporary staff) for accuracy and assist with weekly payroll review as needed. 

  • Prepare reports, summaries, and operational analysis for management review. 

  • Identify, recommend, and implement improved methods, techniques, and procedures to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy. 

  • Support day-to-day warehouse operations as needed. 

  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

 

What You’ll Need 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations. 

  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally. 

  • Strong organizational, mathematical, reading, and writing skills. 

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new processes. 

  • Forklift certification preferred. 

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on warehouse tasks. 

 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferred. 

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of warehouse experience. 

  • Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
