Purpose of Role:

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join the talented and dynamic State Street Global Advisors Intermediary Client Coverage Team.

We are seeking a new team member with 3 years financial services experience, preferably in client service or distribution support. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual that desires to develop a career in Client Coverage (Distribution) in asset management. The role will support the Japanese Intermediary Client Coverage team in a broad range of administrative and business development activities to help reach the team’s key milestones.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in financial markets and investment management plus the ability to own and manage a range of demands and also multi-tasks. The role involves supporting the Intermediary Relationship Managers, maintaining the CRM, coordinating sales and marketing campaigns and servicing client queries. The role also entails constructing presentations and compiling competitor and client intelligence.

The role focusses on our extensive range of listed and unlisted product solutions, encompassing SPDR ETFs and unlisted ITM’s, across our key Financial Intermediary client segments including banks, insurance companies, IFAs, brokers and asset managers. In this role you will also be partnering with our local Marketing and Investment Strategy teams to support client relationships and raise assets.

Major Responsibilities:

What we need you to do:

  • Support the Head of Intermediary and the Intermediary Relationship Managers in distribution activities which include (but not limited to): assistance with client service and follow up work, portfolio and competitor analysis, CRM maintenance, meeting preparation and co-ordination, and administrative support.
  • Become an expert in Salesforce to drive sales efficiency and effectiveness – including managing contact details, data accuracy and sales/ marketing segment lists.
  • General team administration
  • Own the co-ordination of responses to retail clients and our outsourced client relations providers.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns via Salesforce and client facing engagement.
  • Be able to clearly communicate investment ideas and product information to clients and prospects.
  • Work closely with local Business Intelligence led to leverage client flow insights and support the Coverage team with effective sales plans.
  • Support the Marketing team in effective EDM generation for targeted sales campaigns.

Education & Experience:

  • Strong client service capabilities with some experience in the asset management industry, (preferably ETFs and ITMs) for part or all your financial services career.
  • Has operated in a client service, sales support role for approximately 3 years.
  • Understands the various Intermediary market segments
  • Degree qualified or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred; and
  • Current JSDA type 1 qualification.

Specific Technical Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • A degree preferably in Business or Finance field
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft applications
  • Working knowledge of ETFs and ITMs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
  • 3 years working in a relevant financial services role providing client support for financial intermediaries.
  • General understanding of asset allocation.
