Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Contract Intake and Review
Perform intake procedures for all assigned contracts.
Review all relevant background information, including ownership rights, research plans, third-party materials, funding sources, and human specimen permissions.
Liaison Duties
Collaborate with various departments to ensure clarity and compliance:
Work with the OTM licensing team for scientific details clarification.
Coordinate with JROC to determine the appropriate office for handling specific contract types.
Liaise with HRPO for proper handling of human specimen material transfer requests.
Engage with COI on industry contracts.
Consult with OVCR regarding export/import permissions.
Communicate with other departments as required.
Contract Management
Ensure contract terms comply with university policies, including necessary editing and negotiation with external parties.
Process OTM paperwork for faculty transfers or retirements.
Prepare and oversee the signature process and required internal documentation.
Maintain detailed records for all contracts.
General Inquiries and Communication
Respond to general MTA inquiries from faculty and staff, managing a general MTA inbox.
Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager on the status of all pending agreements.
Additional Functions
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and department.
