Job Description Summary:

Working autonomously, employee is responsible for the overall function of Inspirations Boutique at the Kirkland Cancer Center. Responsible for managing, planning, implementing and directing Inspirations Boutique services including mastectomy fittings and all purchasing and merchandising.
Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the purchasing of all mastectomy products.
  • Responsible for the purchasing and merchandising of all Inspirations boutique inventory.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, evaluation, counseling and discipline of staff.
  • Compiles related shop management reports including all merchandise received and sold.
  • Unpacks and provides receipt documentation (packing slips) for payment of invoices. Works closely with MCMP director for invoice payment, credit memos, vendor inquiries, etc.
  • Sets and maintains appropriate margins, inventory turnover levels, etc. as related to store management.
  • Sets and achieves mastectomy fitting and retail sales monthly goals according to budget.
  • Provides training and orientation of the staff. Assigns work schedules and checks for completion of work.
  • Ensures all customers, employees, patients and visitors are well cared for in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints, takes corrective action, notifies MCMP director as needed.
  • Manages relationship with mastectomy and other vendors.
  • Performs all related retail duties including yearly inventory, establishment of discounts, returns to vendors, daily reporting, daily deposits, cash management, etc.
  • Understands and can perform all related duties to Inspirations Boutiques operations and management.
  • Ability to work with other departments for facilities, shipping and other related services for the Boutique.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Ability to read, write, utilize correct spelling, grammar and punctuation, follow written procedures and perform basic mathematical calculations as normally acquired through high school diploma equivalent. 2 years of college/junior college preferred in Business management or merchandising. Education can be substituted for 5 or more years of practical experience in retail management. 

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

  •  N/A

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of experience in a retail establishment.
  • Served in a minimum of a supervisory level, but prefer managerial experience.
