As a Marketing Science Director, you’re a data-driven wizard with never ending curiosity and a knack for transforming raw numbers into meaningful insights. The next question is always on your mind, helping you to demonstrate the value of marketing science to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll play a crucial role in developing and implementing data and measurement strategy mechanisms that power Critical Mass’ creative automation offerings. This will span across measurement, taxonomy, activating AI solutions, data engineering, and testing and optimization. You have experience identifying opportunities to expand client engagements and grow revenue, influencing client behaviour and decisions through coherent and consistently delivered advice, and excel at managing your team's deliverables across multiple clients and workstreams, setting the frameworks and processes used for task management and prioritization. You also thrive in a global operations context, working on multi-disciplinary projects to drive data-driven best practices and thought leadership. Additionally, you’ll lead a team of digital analysts and provide guidance and mentorship to help them grow and develop their skills.


You will:

  • Define the measurement and data activation strategy for CM’s creative automation program with client - this will span across program measurement, taxonomy/trafficking, activating AI solutions, data engineering, and testing and optimization.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team to deliver on client objectives
  • Work with clients to understand business objectives and translate them into a meaningful data strategy and opportunities for advancing client work
  • Identify challenges with client’s data driven ecosystems and propose solutions in the areas of data management, ad-tech, mar-tech, AI, and marketing automation.
  • Communicate complex analytics concepts to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner; and provide recommendations for action and advancement
  • Collaborate with the global Marketing Science leads to solve discipline challenges
  • Support local office leadership to help build and grow the Marketing Science discipline
  • Creatively solve problems, improve processes, and design methodically. 

You have:

  • 8+ years in digital marketing industry focused on measurement, data engineering, and demonstrated collaboration and leadership on data science and AI initiatives.
  • B.S. degree in a quantitative or technical field. Including but not limited to: economics, mathematics, business, finance, social sciences, computer science, or information management. M.S. degree preferred.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills including developing presentations for executive audiences to communicate and achieve buy-in for strategic recommendations.
  • Extremely strong interpersonal and team building skills. Ability to foster a cohesive and effective work environment and lead a team of analytics professionals.
  • Experience working at the intersection of creative production and marketing science, and applying best practices of taxonomy, trafficking, and associated data management
  • Experience working with a work management software such as Adobe Workfront.
  • Experience in data science, advanced analytics, and/or AI applied to marketing/advertising, with demonstrated results.
  • Experience in applied knowledge of Python, R, SQL, and other business-relevant statistical programming languages.
  • Applied expertise to set the vision and advance the following: data architecture (ETL/data integration), automated data ingestion + reporting, data science and statistical programming, testing and personalization, data visualization, website systems implementation.
  • Experience in designing an organization's reporting suite, and expert knowledge of the market-leading platforms and their strengths and weaknesses.
