This role is within Chamberlain Group's Operations and Supply Chain function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Ensure safety standards, policies, and practices are up to date and in compliance throughout the distribution network to ensure the safety of all employees, customers and carriers and (ii) Design strategic plans across distribution networks in order to align with Chamberlain Group's strategic objectives while ensuring alignment across all aspects of the supply chain. Education requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent experience; Black Belt Certification or equivalent knowledge; Experience requirements include: 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
Sr. Distribution Manager, Distribution Center Duties:
- Ensure safety standards, policies, and practices are up to date and in compliance throughout the distribution network to ensure the safety of all employees, customers and carriers
- Design strategic plans across distribution networks in order to align with Chamberlain Group's strategic objectives while ensuring alignment across all aspects of the supply chain
- Manage annual expense budget throughout the distribution network while maintaining safety and quality and delivering objectives
- Ensure root cause analysis process is executed throughout distribution network in order to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
- Responsible for meeting lean transformation goals across distribution network while evolving with businesses every changing needs
- Develop annual capital budget across network to ensure equipment and infrastructure are safe and efficient while keeping capital costs at a minimum
- Ensure compliance to all external certification as well as key contributor to internal certifications throughout distribution facilities
- Maintain strategic partnerships with key customers in order to create alignment between Chamberlain Group and customers
- Manage transition of facilities, including location moves and managerial changes
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
- Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies
- Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
- Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values.
Sr. Distribution Manager, Distribution - Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent experience; Black Belt Certification or equivalent knowledge
- 10-15 years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years’ experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing environment OR 3+ years of experience in warehouse environment utilizing WM Systems
- Manhattan’s PKMS or WM I-series experience Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Preferred Qualifications: APICS Certification; Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Big Box Retail Experience
