40POSITION PURPOSE:
Assists in managing, supervising and continually improving the processes, operations, and performance of Diagnostic Imaging and Pain Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages the daily operations and develops, implements, and monitors plan for patient care services in the Diagnostic Imaging and Pain Management departments.
Assists in coordinating and assigning sufficient, appropriate personnel to maintain continuity and quality care.
Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
Directs all human resource functions within the department including staffing, staff relations including performance management, employee satisfaction, and conflict management
Oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements
Ensures on-going compliance with federal, state and local agencies; The Joint Commission, ACR, and all regulatory agencies
Assists in identifying customer needs, recommending and developing quality programs/services to meet those needs within the department(s) or in conjunction with other departments in support of the Medical Center’s mission and vision.
Implements orientation, in-service training and continuing education programs for all persons in the department(s).
Reviews and makes recommendations regarding the qualifications and competence of department personnel who provide patient services.
Implements and enforces policies and procedures to ensure departmental effectiveness; recommends revisions as needed.
Participates in the budgeting, vendor relations and other processes.
Implements and maintains documentation as required by professional and organizational standards, including by not limited to, incidents, discipline/counseling, competencies, schedules, orientation, policies and procedures, proposals for equipment, supplies, capital expenditures, staff meetings, time and attendance.
In the absence of the DID Director, assumes the role of the Director.
Performs other duties deemed necessary.
