Job Summary:

The Manager, Field Execution Strategy will enable the strategic prioritization of all initiatives with an impact to the US Broadline business. To support improved execution in the field, this individual will have key responsibilities spanning strategic governance, portfolio & stakeholder management, field enablement, and continuous improvement. In collaboration with the Director(s), Field Execution Strategy , this role will ensure all new initiatives and business-as-usual enhancements for the field are thoughtfully delivered to drive results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Prioritization: Supports functional and cross-functional efforts for prioritizing field-impacting initiatives, ensuring alignment with overarching organizational objectives and functional priorities. Maintains USBL roadmap for field-impacting work to drive sequencing decisions based on business impact. Maintains USBL capacity levels by role, providing recommendations on mitigation strategies when overages arise.

  • Standards & Governance: Upholds uniform standards for project readiness and field execution, serving as a subject matter expert with cross-functional teams to guarantee that all initiatives meet the necessary criteria for successful implementation in the field.

  • Driving Results: Facilitates internal review process on the status of field-impacting initiatives, proactively identifies risks, and provides recommendations on changes needed to drive desired outcomes.

  • Relationship Management: Builds relationships with cross-functional teams to support upstream planning and downstream execution.

  • Streamlined Communications: Serves as a conduit between GSC and the field to provide visibility into field-impacting activity and foster two-way dialogue around continuous improvement.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree required or relevant Sysco experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience Required:

5+ years of professional experience

Previous experience in a strategy, portfolio governance, or field engagement role implementing end-to-end solutions

Previous experience working on complex projects, results-driven or field engagement type role with a focus on go-to-market strategies

Experience Preferred:

3+ years of experience working with field teams, including sales, merchandising, or operations

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the food service industry and Sysco’s organization

  • Proactive desire to learn, broaden, and deepen knowledge of cross-functional teams and key initiatives to enable business objectives

  • Proficiency in project management, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations

  • High emotional intelligence with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to influence both in person and virtually

  • Ability to synthesize feedback and direction from multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and with others towards one common goal
