Due to continued growth DXC Technology have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our team based in either our Erskine or Newcastle sites in a Hybrid capacity.

Due to the nature of our clients business all successful candidates are required to be UK Nationals with SC clearance or eligible for vetting.

In this role you will partner with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gather financial data and perform financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drive the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicate and drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Have the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensure strong business controls.

Responsibilities:

• Provide moderately complex financial analysis that is either transactional or analytical for a financial function or a business.
• Establish and maintain relationships with business leaders to actively ensure financial analysis needs are met.
• Handle more complex business issues.
• Provide analytics to business initiatives.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the company's financial processes and a detailed knowledge of the business.

Education and Experience Required:

• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics recommended or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience as a financial analyst.
• Ideally have experience in more than one finance function.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic understanding of accounting processes and principles.
• Good analytical skills.
• Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Good communication skills.
• Good teamwork skills.
