This role combines hands-on experimental work with leveraging computational methods, statistical modeling, and machine learning to optimize qPCR assay design, data and accelerate innovation in life sciences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data-Driven Assay Development: Apply statistical and machine learning models to improve qPCR assay design, performance prediction, and troubleshooting.

  • Big Data Analysis: Integrate and analyze large datasets from NGS sequencing, qPCR experiments, and customer usage metrics.

  • Algorithm Development: Build predictive models for primer/probe performance and assay specificity using Python, R, or similar languages.

  • Automation & Pipelines: Develop automated workflows for data processing, visualization, and reporting using cloud-based tools.

  • Bioinformatics Integration: Use computational tools for sequence alignment, variant analysis, and primer/probe design.

  • Teamwork: Partner with R&D, software engineering, and product teams to embed data science into assay development processes.

  • Wet-Lab Experience: Strong background related to wet lab work related to qPCR/dPCR related products such as assay development and/or master mix development.

  • Documentation: Maintain reproducible code repositories and prepare technical reports for internal and external collaborators.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computational Biology, or related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in bioinformatic data and statistical analysis.

  • Prove experience with large data sets and translating results into useable information for project teams or actionable work (i.e. next steps in product development).

  • Strong wet lab experience related to qPCR assay development and/or qPCR consumables development (i.e. master mix)

  • Experience with bioinformatics tools (Primer3, BLAST) and cloud computing environments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Python, R, JMP, and/or statistical modeling.

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or similar).

  • Preferred: Knowledge of containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and data visualization libraries.

  • Good knowledge of English (written and oral) (level B2 - C1).

We Offer:

  • An innovative environment within a rapidly growing international company.

  • A hard-working, supportive team and leadership committed to your professional development.

  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization and work alongside experienced professionals.
