Boeing Poland Engineering and Technology Center is currently seeking a Customer Support Service Engineering Manager to join our team located in Rzeszow, Poland.

The main role of the person in this position will be to manage teams of engineers who provide engineering support to our customers (airlines and MROs) worldwide. Our engineers respond to technical inquiries from customers related to Airframe Structure issues that arise during the operation of our aircraft.

What you’ll do:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serves as liaison between project and team, finance, sourcing, and scheduling.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Identifies and actively manages opportunities, risks and issues to ensure effective resolution or mitigation, and co-ordinates required activities to ensure successful delivery.

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Plans, schedules and manages project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

  • Track and report project status relative to the approved business case and scope, with transparency and insight into overall health of the project.

  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results and investigates problem areas.

  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks, and devises contingency plans.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

The individual must be ready to spend up to 20% of working time in business trips. The main destination is US, California.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of Engineering related experience.

  • Upper Intermediate English is a must.

  • Experience in a people management and project management position.

  • Existing authorization to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • The individual must be enthusiastic, hands on in their approach and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • The individual must be Customer Focused: Develop and maintain customer relations inside the organization. Actively seeks information to understand customer’s circumstances, problems, expectations and needs.

  • The individual must build Positive Relationships: Builds effective working with relationships with team and cross functional groups that are required to contribute to the success of the program.

  • General knowledge of airplane - airframe structure will be beneficial.

  • Work experience as part of international team.

  • Experience using tracking and reporting tools.

  • Experience of managing complex projects/programs is highly desirable.

  • Aerospace Maintenance and Service Experience is highly desirable.

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
