This role will lead critical transformational programs across the APAC region, managing complex, multi-country initiatives with diverse cultural contexts. This individual is pivotal in shaping and directing the strategic vision for high-impact programs and support the Project Management Office (PMO) lead in overseeing the PMO function across APAC. The position combines strategic program oversight with advanced governance and portfolio management, driving enterprise-wide transformation and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

This role demands a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on management, requiring both program leadership and effective collaboration with stakeholders to drive the success of critical initiatives and the overall APAC portfolio.

What You Will Do:

Program Management:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and direct major transformational programs across multiple APAC countries. Ensure these programs are strategically aligned with corporate objectives and deliver transformative business outcomes, significantly impacting the organization’s growth and market positioning.
  • Multi-Country/Culture Management: Navigate and manage the complexities of cross-country programs, addressing cultural differences and regional challenges. Ensure cohesive execution and integration of program activities across diverse regions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive program success, resolve critical issues, and align program goals with broader organizational priorities. Influence and guide key stakeholders to support program objectives.
  • Resource Strategy: Develop and implement strategic resource plans to support program activities and address operational needs across varied regions. Optimize resource allocation to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage program-level risks and interdependencies. Ensure timely resolution of issues and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard program success.
  • Program Reporting: Provide executive-level insights and reporting on program performance, financials, and resource utilization. Ensure transparency and accountability to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee the development and management of program budgets. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and ensure financial controls are in place to monitor and manage financial performance.

PMO Governance:

  • Governance Framework: Collaborate with global PMO teams to design and enforce a robust governance framework. Ensure strategic alignment, effective resource management, and optimal performance of the APAC portfolio. Influence governance practices to align with organizational and regional objectives.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Oversee the strategic evaluation, prioritization, and allocation of resources across the APAC program portfolio. Align portfolio management practices with global prioritization processes and regional strategic goals.
  • Transformation Leadership: Guide the organization through significant transformational initiatives, including ERP implementations and other enterprise-wide changes. Ensure effective change management, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with organizational transformation goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with internal (IT and Business) and external (vendor partners) stakeholders across multiple regions. Manage diverse expectations and facilitate effective communication to support program and portfolio success.
  • Strategic Communication: Develop and implement strategic communication plans to provide executive leadership with clear updates on business objectives, program performance, and resource deployment. Ensure communication strategies support organizational goals and drive stakeholder engagement.
  • Risk Management: Establish and oversee comprehensive risk management strategies. Provide mentorship on risk identification and response planning, ensuring robust risk management practices across the portfolio.
  • Talent Development: Lead the PMO function, manage portfolio budgets, and chair governance boards. Focus on talent development and strategic planning to build a high-performing team capable of driving program and portfolio success.
  • Change Management Leadership: Act as a key leader in managing organizational change related to the programs, ensuring effective communication and management of changes across all levels.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promote innovation within program and PMO practices. Implement best practices to continuously improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.


What You Need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of professional experience in managing large-scale, transformational programs and PMO governance across multiple countries
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-cultural programs and collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and executive leadership
  • Expertise in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Microsoft Project, Agile, ADO)
  • ITLT foundation
  • PMP certification

  • Advanced degree
  • Six-Sigma or related experience
