As a supply chain analyst on the Global Transportation and Logistics team, you will work to drive the data strategy and business insights critical to making our transportation network the most capable and efficient on the planet. You will lead all activities for creating a data collection and reporting strategy and be the single-threaded leader to use that data to draw business insights and identify actionable opportunities for the team to pursue. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to set and communicate the data and metrics vision for transportation processes at Blue Origin and work within a bigger team to bring identified opportunities to life. You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Transportation and Logistics. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, analytics or related field
  • MBA or equivalent business/analytical experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment involving ambiguity and high rates of change
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to continuously improve it
  • 8+ years experience of business analysis or financial analysis experience
  • 8+ years experience with Advanced Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.)
  • 5+ years experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • 5+ years experience with SQL at a proficient level
  • Experience with working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience with managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities: 

  • Creating and implementing a transportation data collection and reporting strategy
  • Converting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information
  • Writing high quality SQL codes to retrieve and analyze data
  • Working with large data sets, automating data extraction, and building monitoring/reporting dashboards
  • Interacting with internal stakeholders to deep-dive outlier events
  • Analyzing and solving business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities
  • Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
  • Creating models to provide recommendations on strategic decisions; Developing strategic business cases for senior leadership
  • Enabling effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
  • Support travel throughout the US as required.


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $85,680.00-$119,952.00

Other site ranges may differ

Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
