Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). 

As the Senior Parts & Service Consultant you will work to grow the fluids and filters business, engaging directly with dealers and customers to sell the value.  You will be responsible for engaging with dealers to enact best practices and provide direct training for the sales teams.  Providing additional technical expertise will drive increased sales as we prove success to customers using Cat Fluid & Filters.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct customer field trials to drive incremental sales of Fluids & Filters.
  • Manage sales funnel opportunities and priorities across the enterprise.
  • Encourage dealer best practices to support growth.
  • Engage sales verticals in customer opportunities to drive more focus.
  • Train dealer PSSR’s and support ramp-up of new dealer Fluid & Filter specialists.
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of experience in Marketing/Product Support experience.
  • Previous experience working with Fluids & Filters, and SOS fluid analysis.
  • Technical understanding of system functionality in engines and machine powertrain, failure modes, and site optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of the Caterpillar network to engage and quickly resolve customer questions and issues.
  • Ability to review and understand SOS details to prove the value of Cat Fluids & Filters while leading customer trials.
  • Ability to work flexible hours for global support as needed.
  • Innovative with solutions to solve problems.
  • Previous experience operating in a Dealer/Customer facing role(s).
