The opportunity

Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Local Service Center Switzerland is responsible for the local market after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems, gas insulated switchgears (GIS), live tank breaker (LTB) and plug and switch systems (PASS) including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits, repairs and replacements. 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead projects, ensuring effective handover, execution planning, and monitoring

  • Act as the primary contact and escalation point for project-related issues

  • Monitor project progress, financials, and resource utilization

  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks while pursuing opportunities

  • Procure necessary services, materials, and equipment; assist with negotiations and project changes

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide regular progress updates to management

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; manage project changes and interventions

  • Conduct post-project evaluations, ensure proper documentation, and provide team support as needed

Your background

  • Min. 2 years of experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion, preferably in a similar industry and technical background desirable

  • Abilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams, both internal and external resources

  • Project financials, including budgeting, invoicing, cost control, as well as identifying and managing risks

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience in procuring services, materials, and equipment, and supporting contract negotiations and project changes

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor progress, evaluate project outcomes, and implement corrective actions where necessary

  • Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and company policies, with the ability to ensure compliance throughout the project

  • Fluent in German and English, French or Italian are beneficial 

  • SAP skills are a plus
