Performs minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoots, diagnoses and completes repairs on all types of company vehicles

• Performs preventive maintenance

• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing and waxing

• Performs periodic systems checks and daily maintenance checks of automotive equipment for interior and exterior cleanliness

• Responds to minor emergency mechanical issues

• Ensures vehicle maintenance supplies and parts are ordered and in stock

• Provides full service on equipment all seasons

• Checks gas and oil on daily basis

• Checks tire pressure daily and maintains proper air pressure

• Cleans and maintains garage area in an orderly condition

• Reports any system malfunction of automotive equipment to the Location Manager

• Ensures compliance with MAPS/WHEELS programs

• Ensures all vehicles’ licenses and insurance are current

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High School or GED equivalent

Certification

• ASE certification preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of mechanic experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable  driving record

• Ability to work effectively with others

Compensation:

Salary: $17.50/hr.- $25.00/hr.

An individual’s pay within the scale is based on several factors that may include one or more of the following: background, skills, relevant experience, performance, education and work location.
