Warehouse Associate - Unloader

Our high-volume distribution center is looking for a hardworking Unloader to join our team. In this role, your primary task will revolve around loading and unloading trucks.   Since you may have to move a large amount of material at a time, experience as a forklift or pallet jack driver is beneficial; we also use a hand truck for smaller items.

Work Environment / Warehouse Location:  9 Finderne Ave - Bridgewater, NJ 08807

Work Status: Full Time / Permanent

Job Classification: Hourly $ 19.50 / Biweekly

Schedule: Monday to Friday / 8am-4:30 pm

Dress Code: Warehouse industrial.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately select warehouse merchandise while focusing on safety.
  • Perform appropriate pick scans on products
  • Achieve set standards for productivity, accuracy and safety
  • Ensure that work area is always left clean
  • Loading and unloading of to and from delivery trucks and trailers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Prepares orders by processing request and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing request
  • Completes shipments by processing loading orders
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures rule and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Any additional skills with SAP / CRM / Inventory and data entry are a major benefit.

Qualifications

  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Applications and other operational or client systems
  • Forklift or pallet jack driver experience​.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have Warehouse / Retail Stock Room / Distribution environment experience.
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Lift 80-100 lbs.
  • Bending, lifting, standing for long periods of time
  • Scanning with handheld scanner
  • Bilingual Spanish

Pre-Employment: Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screening, Background Check & Physical Exam)

Physical Requirements:

  • Have the ability to consistently lift/move furniture, bedding and accessories i.e. High-End Rugs in excess of 80-100lbs.
  • Continuously lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of boxes up to and in excess of 80-100 lbs.
  • Seeing and hearing: Read documents, computer screen.
    Standing and walking. 75-100 %
  • Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling. 75-100 %
  • Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, and writing. 0-24 %
  • Lift in excess of 80+ pounds. 0-24 %
