Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As an Associate working within the Prime Brokerage Operations Group, you will provide operational support for RBC Capital Markets Prime Brokerage clients.

What will you do?

  • Main point of contact for client inquiries related to account activity.

  • Investigate and assist in resolving operationally related issues in client accounts such as trade settlements, journal errors, and dividend claims.

  • Review client accounts daily for margin calls, and ensure margin calls are met by clients.

  • Receive and handle client requests for all account activity such as securities transfers, money wires, restricted legend removal on securities, voluntary corporate actions.

  • Ensure RBC policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Canadian Securities Course

  • Excel Proficiency

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset

  • CPH, Derivatives Fundamentals Course and Options Licensing Course

  • Knowledge and understanding of various brokerage back office operational functions

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00
