The Senior Clinical Consultant works as an integral part of the Senior Living Consulting Services team and finds solutions for our clients related to regulatory compliance, operations, education/training, data analysis, processes, reimbursement and surveys. They provide best practice advice to post-acute care facilities, working with senior executives and clinical teams.

Senior Clinical Consultants are heavily involved in new and existing client business development and community involvement activities. They provide exceptional client service as a trusted business advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise clinical consulting engagements and special assignments related to senior living

  • Collaborate with clients with a focus on client satisfaction and retention
  • Keep clients up to date and advice on current industry regulations, best practices and market intelligence
  • Work with client leadership to develop more efficient processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Ability to incorporate best practice guidelines into client presentations including up-selling opportunities
  • Provide approved training curriculum and education tools to operational staff ensuring successful training (webinars, in-person training, educational programs, speaking engagements, conferences, etc.)
  • Perform operational assessments through staff interviews, clinical record reviews, electronic health records reviews, data analysis and present assessment/findings to client
  • Assist in revenue cycle analyses, allowing client to find ways to increase reimbursement while maintaining compliance
  • Perform Medicare and Medicaid analysis, clearly communicate results and complete reports for clients
  • Regular contact with client and key partners to ensure engagement is on track
  • Supervise Consultants and Interns on engagements and provide guidance on an ongoing basis; actively communicate with engagement Partners
  • Lead business development initiatives, client discovery calls and proposal creation, including deliverables, work plans, and allocated budgets
  • Participate in learning opportunities to keep up with industry trends and regulatory updates and work collaboratively with all team members

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; current RN licensure required
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior living/post-acute care facility required
  • Prior consulting experience with ability to research and analyze data and resolve issues; read and interpret regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to take the lead on client engagements and develop new and existing business
  • Strong knowledge/background in post-acute care regulatory compliance and reimbursement guidelines
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of health care industry with ability to provide solutions to meet client needs and maximize value of deliverables
  • Competency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to adapt and utilize clients electronic health record (EHR)
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning and change management skills with a high level of energy, drive and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work out of the office, which can be as high as 75-100% for periods of time, overnight travel is required
     

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel may be required

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $105,000
