Trucking Coordinator holds the highest degree of responsibility to direct, coordinate, instruct, and schedule material handling employees of a lower rating.  Performs functions of Material Handler position and may be assigned to job assignments for all preceding functions.  Acts as an assistant to Supervisor and relieves their duties and responsibilities.  The position is required to work any five days, indoors, outdoors, and in all weather conditions.

The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 ($52.78) and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

Working hours and schedule:

M- F  7:00am - 3:30pm Hours and Overtime may vary as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Fork Truck experience required
2. Testing and review of Advanced Material Principles
3. Demonstrates high levels of Customer Service
4. Demonstrates proven decision-making abilities
5. Commercial Drivers’ License A, with proper endorsements

6. Successful completion of Certified Rigging Course
7. Ability to operate: Boom Truck (35 tons), all Tankers, all Trailers, and All Terrain Telescoping Boom Material Handler – without wire ropes (i.e. Lull)

8. Massachusetts Hoisting Lic. 2a, 1b

9. One (1) Year Material Handling Experience required

Interview Test:

  • Capable of lifting 100lbs

  • Mechanical Aptitude (knowledge of basic mechanical principles and ability to use job related tools and equipment)

  • Ability to tip and roll 500lb. drum 30 feet with control

  • Work at heights of approximately 25 feet
