The VCP (Value Creation Program) MR Lead serves as the distributed execution engine for Cost Competitiveness across the MR Business Unit, with a strong focus on driving cost productivity across all cost areas - total landed cost [e2e]
The primary responsibility is to deliver variable cost productivity (VCP) for the MR BU through structured, cross-functional initiatives. In addition, the role drives tangible performance improvements and strengthens end-to-end capabilities across the business. This includes leading continuous improvement efforts, embedding lean methodologies, and advancing problem-solving practices.
The role operates in close partnership with BU leadership, ensuring alignment between cost competitiveness priorities, operational execution, and overall business objective.
Your role:
1. Financials - Define overall VCP goal. Define by function VCP goal to underpin the overall VCP target. Lead the cross functional team to achieve VCP target .(fully accountable person)
2. Execution and program management - Set up VCP program for MR, including core team, daily management cadence, and governance, Carry out Kaizens and workshops to build VCP funnels Hold individual teams accountable on their deliverables, while helping teams remove obstacles Spearhead the development and implementation of transformation strategies , managing and prioritizing a comprehensive portfolio of end-to-end (E2E) transformations.
3. Coach BU teams on Lean principles such as problem solving and daily management Identify and lead Kaizen/Hoshin Kanri events to improve productivity and execution of the MR BU.

• Spearheads the formulation of the Transformation strategy for the BU/R/F organization, including establishing KPIs / metrics and prioritizing programs based on technical and strategic criteria (i.e. alignment with organizational strategy).
• Drives tangible performance and E2E capability (Process, system, data, people) improvements, employing advanced methodologies and tools to enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive measurable operational efficiencies.
• Supports Process and System Excellence Leader to handle broad portfolio of end-to-end (E2E) transformations and deployment projects, ensuring a comprehensive perspective on all transformation initiatives within the business (unit), region or function.
• Acts as Business Partner for the respective BU / R(Region) / F(Function) Leadership team and wider organization to establish a culture of impact and (execution) excellence, leveraging Excellence practice tools & methodologies (Continuous improvement, Agile, Process Management, Project Management, Change management and Performance Management) and enables BU/R/F to drive excellence on a specific functional scope, including setting a level of standardization (e.g. Performance Management system, Process Framework).
• Leverages deep industry expertise and specialized knowledge to improve financial and operational performance, tackling complex challenges across functions, regions, or businesses with innovative and effective solutions leveraging excellence capabilities, provides consultation and facilitates process performance impact tracking & reporting, with reference to internal/external benchmarks and relevant targets.
• Leads Change and moves the organization to outperform customer, regions and internal expectations by improving patient safety & quality, cost, cycle times, delivery and simplifying ways-of-working.
• Enables and coaches daily management, problem solving and facilitates Kaizen events to achieve performance improvement of the top priority organizational targets as determined by the BU / R / F Leadership Team.
• Owns the implementation of short to mid-term strategies and operational direction, ensuring alignment with both team and organizational objectives to drive business excellence.
• Orchestrates an Expert Network, Communities of Practice, Knowledge Assets, and Communication (and Design Reference Groups and Design Reference Group (DRG) and/or Change Control Board (CCB)if required).
• Trains and coaches the organization’s leaders to embrace Lean Leadership as their primary way to lead people, supports the business in their Lean competence development, determining knowledge and competence gaps and providing training as necessary and develops training and certification activities in collaboration with Philips University.
• Leads succession planning and comprehensive talent management, driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, and career development in alignment with organizational operational goals.

Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior or equivalent.
Minimum required Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 6 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Project Management, Change Management, Operations or equivalent.
