Many of our client group live with mental health diagnoses, substance misuse issues or an acquired brain injury. Due to the impact of these, many of our clients also have a history of homelessness or were at high risk of homelessness.

As a Registered Nurse at Prague House, you will play a crucial role in leading a dedicated team in our person-centred approach to care.

We are a vital part of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne Residential, Palliative Care & Correctional Health Services, a key clinical service program of SVHM and broader SVHA Public Hospital division. 

About the Role

Join us in enhancing lives:  As a Registered Nurse at Prague House, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the dignity and quality of life of our clients, who have unique and challenging needs.  Working within a collaborative team of enrolled nurses and health care workers, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management, to support the provision of individualised care that meets the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Classifications for this position is YS9 ($99,252 per annum pro rata)

About You

Compassion and expertise: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse who is empathetic, non-judgemental and possesses common sense!  Your approach to care will empower residents to achieve their health goals and enhance their overall well-being. With a positive work attitude and engaging manner, you will thrive on interacting with our unique client group.

Qualification and Commitment:  in addition to your experience, you will need:

  • Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
  • Familiarity with the Commonwealth Aged Care Standards and the requirements of meeting them, an understanding of relevant legislation. Post graduate mental health or addiction medicine qualifications are desirable but not obligatory.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or be willing to obtain.
