This position reports to the Vice President Business Development in all aspects of the sales process for new corporate partners, including, with support of the sales operations team, overseeing the development and delivery of client facing presentations and formal proposals. This position takes a lead role in the organization’s sales activity and coordination of all new sponsor prospecting efforts related to the open properties they have been assigned. This position works closely with other internal departments including Tournament Business Affairs, Media, Television, Communications, Golf Course Properties, Player Relations, Finance and Legal.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum seven years’ experience in sports marketing, brand management, or corporate marketing/advertising with an emphasis on sales
  • Proficient writing and public speaking/ presentation abilities and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience required. Ability to manage business development’s effort to create compelling, creative sales presentations that incorporate multi-media platforms
  • Familiarity with CRM, preferably Salesforce

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Leads the identification and prospecting efforts for new Official Marketing Partners or Title Sponsors as directed by leadership, and secures meetings / calls / appointments accordingly.
  • Works closely with the sales operations team to develop and present key elements of the sales process from pitch to negotiation of the term sheet.
  • Leads presentation development and strategy - including prioritization of projects, ensuring presentations are completed in a highly professional and persuasive manner using multi-media platforms.
  • Daily activity in TOUR’s business intelligence system, ensuring accurate records of client interaction, capture of contact information, progression of pending deals, etc.
  • Oversees internal processes to ensure new business is transitioned to implementing stakeholders according to terms of the contract.
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
