Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. We are searching for the best talent for a Business Excellence Specialist to be in Cork, Ireland!

Purpose: Support the development & implementation of Johnson & Johnson Production System to deliver Best in Class performance through a highly engaged workforce. Working cross functionally, play a leading role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve sustainable high standards of manufacturing performance. Lead and deliver projects to support the business needs of the site

As a Business Excellence Specialist, you will:

Measure, analyze, design, and implement sustainable process improvements to optimize capacity, reduce lead times, and maximize productivity.
Drive innovative solutions that enhance quality while reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Lead and deliver projects that support business needs and strategic objectives.
Embed and sustain the ‘Managing Site Performance’ business process standard across the site.
Facilitate value stream mapping and conduct production capacity analysis for each stream.
Promote Lean principles by mentoring and coaching employees, ensuring continuous improvement culture.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while supporting transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including New Product Introductions, to integrate Lean practices early in design phases.

Skills & Qualifications

Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (Black Belt or relevant degree preferred).
3–5 years of experience in a highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and application of Lean principles, World Class Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
Proven project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills; capable of influencing at all levels.
Change management advocate with innovative, systems-thinking mindset.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
