Principal Product Manager

The Team:

The global, cross-functional team enhances and maintains our industry leading Debtdomain platform.  Our team embraces a collaborative and transparent culture to ensure alignment on how we accomplish our goals across the team and broader business.

The Impact: 

The Principal Product Manager for Debtdomain will have an opportunity to join a high performing team responsible for building next-generation virtual data rooms, book building, CRM, and compliance tools for participants within the syndicated loan market. You will be exposed to multiple S&P Global teams and programs looking to integrate with the solution and influence requirements. You will build expertise on S&P Global’s technology stack and the nuances of cross-asset primary market workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Full lifecycle ownership of process(es) within remit; accountability for managing effective operational systems and/or processes; responsible for deployment of resources
  • Builds a solution roadmap aligned to strategic direction
  • Facilitates stakeholder alignment to the solution roadmap
  • Facilitates discussion of options and scenario planning related to the solution roadmap.
  • Provides input for strategic plan development and creates product plans and roadmaps to meet business requirements
  • Monitors progress of work against product plan and roadmap
  • Investigates existing business processes, analyzes, and defines underlying business drivers
  • Defines and evaluates requirements and the scope for recommended solutions and programs
  • Manages conflicting requirements of the various stakeholders
  • Tests relevant solutions or programs and the impact of solutions and/or programs against identified business requirements to propose adjustments
  • Develops plans for early engagement, allowing time for buy-ins and consultation with stakeholders taking into consideration stakeholder positions, agendas and priorities
  • Advises on the appropriate solutions to complex customer problems or emerging customer trends related to various markets
  • Supports the development of strategies and plans for new products and customers
  • Lead and present certain agile development ceremonies
  • Work with leadership to facilitate client workshops and communications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiasm (required)
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Experience with detailed requirements gathering in complex domains
  • Experience with syndicated and/or commercial loans
  • Familiarity with agile product development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with developers and project stakeholders
  • Individuals who are self-motivated, take initiative, and welcome the challenge of problem solving
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task projects of short, medium, and long-term time ranges
  • Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team as a participant and leader
  • Collaborate and work well within multiple organizational and functional departments
  • Technical curiosity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with product management tools (ex. Jira, ADO)
