What is the focus of the role?

As the Senior Specialist Partner Management, your responsibilities include managing and enhancing relationships with a portfolio of suppliers (Partners). This involves fostering strategic partnerships to contribute to long-term financial success. You’ll build new partner relationships, strengthen existing supplier management, optimise profitability, and promote best practices and standards for supplier management and commercial negotiation. Achieving these goals will require thought leadership, the development of decision-making frameworks, and effective stakeholder management both within Telstra and externally with partner executives.

As the Senior Specialist Partner Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Telstra Enterprise partnership management team.

Your responsibilities include:

Partner Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the Functional Leads to develop partner-specific strategies.

  • Ensure that relevant decision-making forums have the necessary stakeholder leaders for monitoring and assessing the delivery of partner strategies.

  • Manage supplier commercial negotiations and procurement engagements.
     

Telstra Enterprise Strategy:

  • Engage with deal teams and Sales teams for responsiveness to go-to-market (GTM) strategies

  • Manage stakeholder board packs, including presentation and briefings.

  • Provide expertise, insights and recommendations on partner initiatives to support Telstra's T25 strategy.
     

Partner Governance:

  • Manage and lead strategic governance including Annual Business Review and Quarterly Business Review (ABR/QBR).

  • Oversee Performance and commercial Management is embedded is business governance.

  • Implement processes to monitor and manage partner strategic milestones internally and externally.
     

Other Core Activities:

  • Project management on key Partner related initiatives

  • Manage supplier lifecycle processes, including back-to-back with Customer agreements.

  • Oversee contract lifecycle processes, including MSA (Buy to sell and value thresholds)

  • Ensure supplier risk governance and compliance with industry standards and obligations.

  • Drive ESG and responsible business development initiatives.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, third parties, and Partners.
