The Opportunity 

The Sr. Collaboration Architect is responsible for establishing and advancing the strategic direction of Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms, focusing on secure, scalable, and compliant enterprise solutions. This role enhances collaboration, streamlines tenant operations, and integrates AI-driven features to increase productivity. Serving as a trusted advisor and mentor, the Sr. Collaboration Architect guides technical teams and business leaders through complex projects, including mergers and acquisitions. With extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 services, Power Platform, Copilot, and modern architecture, the Sr. Collaboration Architect supports digital transformation by aligning technology strategies with business goals and promoting governance, automation, and user empowerment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive the vision, roadmap, and long-term planning for Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, scalability, and industry best practices. 
  • Lead administration of Azure and Microsoft 365 tenants, including hybrid and multi-Geo configurations, license optimization, and usage analytics to maximize efficiency and compliance. 
  • Collaborate with Identity, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to design and enforce robust data governance frameworks, leveraging tools like Microsoft Purview and Defender to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to deliver custom collaboration solutions using Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and modern frameworks (Angular, React), while driving automation through PowerShell scripting.
  • Support multi-Geo tenant expansion for data residency and compliance.
  • Govern and optimize collaboration environments using tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Direct planning and execution of Merger, Acquisition, and Divestiture (MA&D) programs, ensuring seamless integration and continuity of collaboration services. 
  • Integrate AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI capabilities to enhance productivity, collaboration, and user experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. 
  • Develop solutions using PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate; support citizen developers while ensuring governance and security.
  • Assess licensing needs and recommend models; manage usage analytics and renewal strategies.
  • Advise business and IT leaders; provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and developers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a senior architecture role focused on Microsoft 365 and Azure for large enterprise environments within regulated industries.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Power Platform, and Copilot.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and Generative AI capabilities within Microsoft 365 and implementing AI-driven automation.
  • Strong development and scripting skills using PowerShell and experience building custom solutions with Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, SharePoint API, Exchange API, and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
  • Deep understanding of data governance, security frameworks, compliance standards, and enterprise security solutions.
  • Enterprise-level architecture experience across cloud platforms, security, networking, and system integrations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, endpoint management, and Azure architecture.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred experience:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert is highly preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$113,300.00 – $226,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
