Job Description:

Embarking on an innovative journey St Vincent’s Health Australia are launching a project to implement an early Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform across our ten private hospitals. Our vision is to establish a robust EMR foundation and add clinical modules and functionality over time. As we step into this transformative phase that strengthens clinical quality and safety, we invite passionate individuals who are dedicated to revolutionising patient care through cutting-edge digital healthcare technology to join our dynamic team.

We are actively sourcing an experienced Support Officer to join our EMR project. Reporting to the Implementation Leads, you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and enhancing the overall user experience. In addition to the expertise you will bring, you will join an experienced, engaged and dedicated Project team that is committed to transforming patient care for St Vincent’s Health Australia.

This position will be offered on a Fixed Term Full-Time arrangement in Sydney NSW until 28 February 2025 with review for extension.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Supporting implementation of the EMR
  • Investigating and resolving problems effectively and within project timeframes
  • Providing quality support for project leads, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Identifying and analysing information to develop innovation strategies and solutions to enhance project operations
  • Share your ideas that will bring better ways of working and solving IT related problems and/or delays
  • Supporting change management and communication activities.

Things that work for us:

  • An absolute whizz when it comes to using Microsoft 365 & Office software
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • A great understanding of database management and a willingness to solve any issues
  • Experience providing quality support and delivering quality IT solutions and services such as Help Desk and/or Systems
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, computer science, engineering and/or computing
  • An understanding of urgency, quick thinker and great multitasker
  • Current 2024 Flu Vaccine and a minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • National Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months)
