What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Grants Management Specialist to support the Department of State. The candidate will assist threat teams to include China, Iran, Russia, Counterterrorism and/or emerging threats as required to provide grants management support to domestic and post awards for grants or cooperative agreements.  The candidate will assist the Grants Officer (GO) and Grants Officer Representatives (GORs) with managing grants across the award lifecycle from pre-award to closeout to include but not limited to: supporting development of notice of funding opportunities (NOFOs) and the Annual Program Statement (APS); panel coordination and administration; tracking award reporting; monitoring of active grants; and providing guidance to threat teams on grant administration based on the Federal Assistance Directive (FAD).  The candidate will conduct site visits, support data collection and reporting for quarterly strategic reviews, produce and maintain trackers and visualizations as necessary to communicate status of grant activities, provide assessments for project/program performance and make recommendations, assist with requests for information, and other activities that support compliance with Department award requirements.  The Grants Management Specialist will assist recipients with technical support to obtain access to and use of Department of State award and payment management systems. The candidate will also provide and implement recommendations for streamlining internal grants operations and business processes.

The candidate will work as part of a cross functional team, support technical/management meetings and workshops with clients, and manage the project work plans. The grants management specialist will support the development of tasks and deliverables, and contribute to team deliverables to include, but not limited to, monitoring and results frameworks, project assessments, presentations, work plans, and reports.


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • FOUR (4) years of professional experience including ONE (1) year of relevant experience managing grants

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience working with the Department of State

  • Experience managing foreign assistance programs

  • Knowledge of programs focused on mis/disinformation

  • Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Experience in an international setting

  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder sessions

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
