Job Description:

To ensure that the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure production continuity and customer needs. Able to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production and customer requirements.

  • Schedule and control the supply of materials to meet production requirements and minimum stock levels.
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to Kerr.
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
  • Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels against agreed target levels.
  • Minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
  • Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
  • Create and issue forecasts to suppliers.
  • Actively contribute to the development and support of material planning to make continuous improvements.
  • Work closely with quality, production, and warehouse departments to ensure best performance in terms of incoming material timing.
  • Participate to initiatives with other related departments (e.g. production, procurement, quality) to implement EBS and continuous improvement/Kaizen culture.
  • Work closely with rest of Supply Chain department to Build a good Team.

Contribute to ensure excellent OTD (On-Time-Delivery) Level of customer orders (target > 95%). As support of SCM Develop, execute and follow-up the action plan, KPI and Problem-Solving Process (PSP). Prevent and control stock outs risk.

Understands and proper applies the Quality System (including all SOP’s, CAPA, NCM, etc.), the EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Policy and of any other applicable company Policy and Procedure as well as applicable laws, including, but not limited to, import/export compliance.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management.

Previous experience of materials planning ideally in a manufacturing environment.

•    Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies 
•    Strong Analytical skills
•    Ability to drive improvements across planning processes
•    Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience of working with suppliers
•    ERP systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills 
•    Knowledge and experience of using Min Max and Kanban planning systems or similar 
•    Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous.
