Picture yourself leading the design transformation of a platform that empowers millions of investors worldwide to access financial markets. As our Design Lead, you’ll step into a 13-month maternity cover (maximum term) position where you'll report directly to our Head of Product and take ownership of the UX/UI direction for our CMC Invest platform. This role will put you at the centre of making complex financial markets truly accessible for everyday investors.

You'll be stepping into a leadership position where your design decisions directly impact how people invest, trade, and build their financial futures. This role offers the perfect blend of creative leadership and strategic thinking, where you'll manage a Product Designer whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams across our global organisation. Your work will span multiple brands and touch every aspect of our user experience, from mobile apps to web platforms.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Lead the UX/UI direction of the CMC Invest platform, ensuring a consistent, intuitive, and user-centred experience across mobile and web.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to co-create solutions that balance user value, technical feasibility, and commercial impact.
• Manage and evolve our design system in Figma to support scalable, accessible, and brand-aligned design work.
• Guide the team through launch phases of the new investing platform, ensuring feedback loops from internal stakeholders and customers are continuously informing improvements.

What Will Help You Be Successful?

• 5+ years in UX/UI or Product Design, with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Experience designing complex digital products
• Confident working in agile product teams with developers and product managers
• Strong skills in Figma, prototyping, and design systems
• Strong user research skills
• Comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels with excellent communication skills
• Passionate about user-centred design, accessibility, and continuous improvement
• Eligibility to work in Australia
