Raytheon Technologies Software Platform team has an immediate need for a Principal Platform Team Lead. Responsibilities include leading the Product Design team to provide documentation updates for the Aurora Campus Programs to deliver the physical computer, network, storage racks and components to the customer. 

The Principal Platform Team Lead will be working with our existing Product Design Team and will provide Cost Account Management (CAM) and Documentation support, along with supporting our Facilities Integration Team (FIT) deployments to our customers. 

The ideal individual needs to be a highly motivated self-starter that can quickly adapt to complex situations/problems, identify root cause, formulate corrective action plans, communicate effectively and drive to completion/resolution.

Note This position will be based out of Aurora CO and will be Hybrid – The ideal candidate will be required travel to the Aurora Campus on a pre-determined schedule that will be coordinated and agreed upon with the Section Lead dependent on the team’s evolving needs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the implementation and development of Custom Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) infrastructure project Documentation, including servers, networks, and related Rack systems to ensure Documentation Standards for these systems are met
  • Manage a small team of 2-4 engineers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time to Schedule and within budget
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Develop and Maintain the Technical Data Packages (TDP) for Multiple programs and lead the effort for final delivery to customers
  • Provide Cost Account Management (CAM) support as needed for the Product Design team

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 8 years of related work experience
  • Experience in Datacenter design, development through use of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, CREO, Common PDM
  • Experience with Earned Value Management systems (EVMS) and Cost/Control Account Management (CAM)
  • Experience with Developing and Analyzing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Current DOD Top Secret Security Clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Able to read and interpret detailed cable and system wiring diagrams to aid in the installation of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Hardware
  • COTS Platform hardware development experience
  • Experience with Various Drawing types, AutoCAD/Visio/PDF
  • Basic Understanding of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Control Account Management exposure for schedule tracking
  • 2D and 3D modeling experience
  • Exposure to ASME and related MIL standards
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities for the implementation and deployment of systems
  • Experience with creating and reviewing a Basis of Estimates (BOE) required for support to configuration & hardware documentation

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
