Program Overview
The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.
Role Overview

The ERG Strategy Team supports Comcast’s national Employee Resource Group (ERG) Program, specifically providing governance, national resources, and support to forward our DE&I efforts and continue cultivating belonging within our workforce.
The ERG Strategy Co-op is an integral part of the team and supports our work by liaising with chapter leaders from across our enterprise, amplifying national ERG events and reviewing applications for event funding.
Strategic projects this role would partner on include technology-focused initiatives including launching and maintaining new event funding application tool and increasing adoption of the ERG events management system.
Our team interacts with several stakeholders, and the co-op would work directly with the broader Impact & Inclusion Team, field Human Resources Teams, Learning & Development and other senior leaders across the enterprise.
Given our fast-paced team environment, our co-op will experience many events and programs throughout their 6-month tenure. We take a ‘one team’ approach, so the ERG Strategy Co-op will get to support and experience other Impact & Inclusion major activations, including summits, volunteerism events, and sponsored programs.
Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintains National Roster of ERG Leaders – updating monthly working session distros, system access and email distros accordingly
Supports ERG Grant Application Review and Processing
Chapter Leader Vetting – Confirming proposed new leaders are in good standing with HR and have approval from their manager
ERG Monthly Working Session Support - taking notes, bringing issues and questions back to the ERG Strategy Team and creating Executive Summaries from each working session
Cultural Month Events - Gather ERG events for recognition and cultural months (i.e. Pride, NDEAM, Native American History Month, AAPI Heritage Month, etc.)
Present Summary of ERG Events on Communications Call
Weekly ERG Strategy Team Meeting – owns note taking and follow-up on action items, and ensures Asana Weekly Progress Report is updated by team members
Manages and responds to the National ERG e-mail box, serving as the primary point of contact for employee questions
Creates Viva Engage (formerly Yammer) Posts promoting national ERG resources and funding
Preferred Qualifications
Technologically savvy, idea-oriented, proficient with PowerPoint and Excel, demonstrated discretion with sensitive information, interest in diversity, equity and inclusion, excellent written and oral communication skills, flexible and comfort with ambiguity.
Preferred Majors: Business Operations, Management Information Systems, Global Studies, Business Administration
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23, 2024 through March 28, 2025.
Available to report in-person to the work location provided above.
3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred.

Base Pay: $23.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
