CACI is seeking a Cloud Architect to join our Health Surveillance and Analytics team. The Cloud Architect will play a key role in assessing, designing, implementing, and supporting high-volume data collection and analysis platforms on the Azure cloud. The architect will collaborate with customers to scale the operating environment and maintain CI/CD functions to automate and streamline deployments.

Location: Remote; Atlanta, GA is preferable (for client site visits)

About the Role: As an Azure Cloud Architect you will:

  • Provide expertise for designing and operating a cloud platform ensuring high scalability and availability are maintained to meet customer data flow, storage, and analysis needs are met.
  • Work closely with platform owners to understand new requirements and implement appropriate architectural patterns.
  • Monitor compliance of cloud resources to ensure they fit agency guardrails and best practices. Utilize Azure Security Center and maintain Azure Key Vault.
  • Ensure Azure platform operations adhere with agency AD authentication and role-based authorization.
  • Maintain Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and ensure availability of data stores that utilize Azure Data Catalog, Azure Blob Storage and Azure Data Lake.
  • Monitor cloud platform and configure Azure for high availability and scalability. Ensure optimal operations utilizing the Azure Service Bus.
  • Develop and implement cloud workloads as needed.
  • Implement and administer Azure Cloud IaaS services/systems and facets of future planning associated with delivery of Cloud capabilities as defined by the Agency’s enterprise architecture.
  • Consult, develop proofs of concepts, and advise the best use of Azure services to solve challenges.
  • Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration to develop desired state configuration for the Agency’s Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Provision, manage, monitor, and decommission Azure Cloud services/systems.
  • Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and obtaining authority to operate (ATO) for cloud-platform.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to report accomplishments, plans for the day, and any roadblocks encountered.
  • Interact with government and contractor staff in meetings and working sessions.
  • Maintain documentation of Azure environment in accordance with Agency policy.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree + 15 years in the industry or MA/MS + 12 years in the industry
  • 10+ years’ experience in solutioning, designing, development, and delivering computer systems.
  • Proven experience as Cloud Architect with a focus on Azure
  • Experience in public or government health industry
  • Proven skills in leadership, relationship building, negotiation, collaboration, advocacy, governance, and consensus building.
  • Scripting and automation experience
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT Application architecture, design methodologies across multiple platforms
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in English, in a clear, concise manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
  • Understanding of data collection for public health and public health surveillance systems
  • Understanding of and experience with Agile Scrum
  • Experience using JIRA.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$104,200-$229,200
